Somewhere between soil, light and silence, your plant is already speaking.
Vplants was created to help you listen. Together with Vprobe, it turns hidden plant signals into simple care guidance — so you can stop guessing and start understanding.
Hi wanderer,
Nature does not shout. It whispers through leaves, roots, water, light and time. Vplants exists for the quiet moment when technology helps you notice what was already there.
— Lucy JonesSmart plant care • Vprobe sensor • Vplants app • Wi-Fi connected

Your plant usually tells you too late.
Before a yellow leaf appears, the soil may already be too wet. Before growth slows, the light may already be too weak. Before roots suffer, air temperature or humidity may already be unsuitable.
Soil can look dry on top while staying wet around the roots.
A bright room to your eyes may still be too dim for your plant.
Heating, drafts and dry air can slowly stress sensitive houseplants.
Temperature and humidity can change quietly as rooms, seasons and heating conditions change.
Vprobe measures. Vplants explains.
Vprobe sits in your plant pot and monitors the conditions around your plant. The Vplants app receives the readings and helps you understand when your plant may need water, better light, more humidity or a more suitable position.
It is about reconnecting with nature in a more mindful way — noticing the quiet signals your plant gives you earlier, more clearly and with more confidence.
- Monitor soil moisture, light, air temperature and humidity
- Receive clear plant-care alerts through the Vplants app
- Check your plants remotely using Wi-Fi cloud monitoring
- Use one Vprobe for one important plant pot
These optional readings are disabled by default and can be enabled under Profile → Experimental Sensors (Beta) in the Vplants app. They are still being developed, may be inaccurate or behave unexpectedly, and are not officially supported product features. Vprobe is sold based on its supported soil moisture, light, air temperature, humidity, Wi-Fi monitoring and app features.

The readings behind smarter plant care
Vprobe looks beyond basic soil moisture. It follows the main conditions that shape indoor plant health, then Vplants turns those readings into easier decisions.
Soil moisture
Understand what is happening around the roots, not just on the soil surface.
Light level
See whether your plant receives enough brightness in its current position.
Temperature
Monitor air temperature so you can see when the room may be too cold or too warm.
Humidity
Useful for tropical plants, orchids, calatheas, ferns and humidity-sensitive plants.
Smart alerts
Receive notifications when supported readings move outside your plant’s selected care thresholds.
Wi-Fi and battery
Keep an eye on device connection and battery status inside the app.
Experimental sensors for users who choose to test them.
EC fertility and soil temperature remain available in the Vplants app as optional experimental features while we continue improving their interpretation and performance. They are not part of Vprobe’s officially supported feature set.
EC fertility readings can change significantly as soil moisture changes. They should be treated as experimental information only and should not be relied upon for purchasing decisions or important plant-care decisions.
To enable them: open Vplants and go to Profile → Experimental Sensors (Beta).
Start with one plant you care about most.
You do not need to monitor every plant at once. Begin with your favourite, rarest or most valuable plant. Let Vprobe reveal what is happening below the surface.
Place Vprobe
Insert Vprobe into the soil near the root zone. Keep the top clear for Wi-Fi and light readings.
Add your plant
Create a plant profile in Vplants. The app can help identify the plant from a photo.
Connect Wi-Fi
Connect Vprobe to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi so readings can be sent to the cloud.
Follow the signs
Use readings, alerts, thresholds and graphs to understand what your plant needs.

Simple, but important
Correct placement helps Vprobe read the plant environment more accurately. For the full setup sequence, light sensor orientation, Wi-Fi help and troubleshooting, use the detailed guide.

The Vplants app brings the plant profile, readings, alerts and graphs together in one place. Instead of wondering whether your plant is thirsty, cold, sitting in dry air or receiving poor light, you can check the data and act with more confidence.
- Plant Overview screen with health messages
- Soil moisture, light, air temperature and humidity readings
- Smart notifications when attention is needed
- Graphs to understand changes over time
- Magic Touch for local live readings where supported

Not a bulky gadget. A quiet part of the pot.
Vprobe was created to look elegant in your home while giving the Vplants app the readings it needs.

Let one plant become visible.
Choose the plant you care about most. Place Vprobe in the pot. Let Vplants show you what has been hidden in the soil, light and air.

Vplants and Vprobe FAQ
What is Vplants?
Vplants is the app that works with Vprobe to show plant readings, health messages, alerts, thresholds and graphs.
What is Vprobe?
Vprobe is a Wi-Fi smart plant sensor that sits in one plant pot and monitors soil moisture, light, air temperature and humidity.
Does Vprobe support EC fertility and soil temperature?
EC fertility and soil temperature are optional experimental beta features. They are disabled by default and can be enabled under Profile → Experimental Sensors (Beta) in the Vplants app.
These readings are still being developed, may be inaccurate or behave unexpectedly, and are not officially supported product features. Vprobe is sold based on its supported soil moisture, light, air temperature, humidity, Wi-Fi monitoring and app features.
Does Vprobe water the plant automatically?
No. Vprobe does not water automatically. It monitors plant conditions and helps you understand when action may be needed.
Can I use one Vprobe for many plants?
One Vprobe monitors one plant pot. You can move it, but for reliable tracking each important plant should have its own Vprobe.
