Vplants by Vortex Vitality

Somewhere between soil, light and silence, your plant is already speaking.

Vplants was created to help you listen. Together with Vprobe, it turns hidden plant signals into simple care guidance — so you can stop guessing and start understanding.

Hi wanderer,

Nature does not shout. It whispers through leaves, roots, water, light and time. Vplants exists for the quiet moment when technology helps you notice what was already there.

Lucy Jones introducing the Vplants story by Vortex Vitality
A plant does not suddenly become unhappy. The warning signs often begin before you can see them.
The hidden signals

Your plant usually tells you too late.

Before a yellow leaf appears, the soil may already be too wet. Before growth slows, the light may already be too weak. Before roots suffer, air temperature or humidity may already be unsuitable.

01 Roots

Soil can look dry on top while staying wet around the roots.

02 Light

A bright room to your eyes may still be too dim for your plant.

03 Air

Heating, drafts and dry air can slowly stress sensitive houseplants.

04 Climate

Temperature and humidity can change quietly as rooms, seasons and heating conditions change.

The translator

Vprobe measures. Vplants explains.

Vprobe sits in your plant pot and monitors the conditions around your plant. The Vplants app receives the readings and helps you understand when your plant may need water, better light, more humidity or a more suitable position.

It is about reconnecting with nature in a more mindful way — noticing the quiet signals your plant gives you earlier, more clearly and with more confidence.

Beta EC fertility and soil temperature are experimental

These optional readings are disabled by default and can be enabled under Profile → Experimental Sensors (Beta) in the Vplants app. They are still being developed, may be inaccurate or behave unexpectedly, and are not officially supported product features. Vprobe is sold based on its supported soil moisture, light, air temperature, humidity, Wi-Fi monitoring and app features.

The essential readings

The readings behind smarter plant care

Vprobe looks beyond basic soil moisture. It follows the main conditions that shape indoor plant health, then Vplants turns those readings into easier decisions.

💧

Soil moisture

Understand what is happening around the roots, not just on the soil surface.

☀️

Light level

See whether your plant receives enough brightness in its current position.

🌡️

Temperature

Monitor air temperature so you can see when the room may be too cold or too warm.

💨

Humidity

Useful for tropical plants, orchids, calatheas, ferns and humidity-sensitive plants.

🔔

Smart alerts

Receive notifications when supported readings move outside your plant’s selected care thresholds.

📶

Wi-Fi and battery

Keep an eye on device connection and battery status inside the app.

Optional beta access

Experimental sensors for users who choose to test them.

EC fertility and soil temperature remain available in the Vplants app as optional experimental features while we continue improving their interpretation and performance. They are not part of Vprobe’s officially supported feature set.

EC fertility readings can change significantly as soil moisture changes. They should be treated as experimental information only and should not be relied upon for purchasing decisions or important plant-care decisions.

To enable them: open Vplants and go to Profile → Experimental Sensors (Beta).

The ritual

Start with one plant you care about most.

You do not need to monitor every plant at once. Begin with your favourite, rarest or most valuable plant. Let Vprobe reveal what is happening below the surface.

1

Place Vprobe

Insert Vprobe into the soil near the root zone. Keep the top clear for Wi-Fi and light readings.

2

Add your plant

Create a plant profile in Vplants. The app can help identify the plant from a photo.

3

Connect Wi-Fi

Connect Vprobe to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi so readings can be sent to the cloud.

4

Follow the signs

Use readings, alerts, thresholds and graphs to understand what your plant needs.
